Celebration of Light
Join us for an afternoon of good vibrations, nature, prayer, fun games for children, laughter and refreshments. All activities are free.
1pm IN PRAYER DOME
Rev. Heidi Peck of the of the Center for Spiritual Living Foothills in Lake Lure kicks the celebration off with the vibrational energy emanating from her healing singing crystal bowls. Meditate or just relax and soak up the internal sound massage.
The session will last about an hour.
Bring blanket, pillow, mat or anything else you may need for your comfort.
2pm MEET AT TRAIL ENTRANCE
Family Nature Walk with naturalist Roselie Estey. Enjoy the beauty of the land and connect with the healing properties, wisdom and divine qualities of the nature kingdom knowing that all of nature
is interconnected in many deep
and profound ways and that
life is greater than the little affairs
of humans. About 45 minutes.
3pm IN PRAYER DOME
Group prayer / meditation for World Peace
GAMES FOR CHILDREN
1-4pm: Limbo, musical chairs, bean bag and 3-legged races for children (Prizes/treats to each round's winners).
THE LIGHT ROOM (Chamber)
During the 2012 winter holiday, the light system was replaced and upgraded to high-intensity LED lighting.
The light chamber (room) will be open all day, with noon and 2pm start times reserved so that a light session is available for anyone who wants one immediately before or
after Rev. Heidi's crystal bowls. 35/45-minute sessions consist of lights sequencing through the colors of the Chakras (energy centers) to help bring balance to mind, body, spirit. Choice of music.
