A CUBAN MAESTRO REVISITS 'ABBEY ROAD'
On the 40th anniversary of The Beatles 'Abbey Road,' Cuban maestro and composer Armando Tranquilino returns to the CCCNY to take us behind the scenes of the carefully crafted recordings and ambitious musical arrangements, bringing to life a magical period in the history of popular music. Delving into each song, the maestro will offer a composer's view on the melody, lyrics, harmony, rhythm, tone-color, and structure of the Fab Four's 'Abbey Road,' illuminating and enriching his discussion with live performances on guitar, bass, and piano. Don't miss it! You will go home singing and feel uplifted for days on end!
