The Open Leadership Symposium NOVEMBER 19 2019 BERLIN
For executive leaders, the alarming pace of change represents both a clear danger and a clear opportunity. By changing organizationally, there is opportunity to get 2X, 3X even 4X improvement.

ABOUT THE OPEN LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM

This is where you will find the others.

This is the worlds first and only leadership symposium on how to apply Open patterns and practices to achieve agile and digital transformation. Open patterns are those patterns that help engage the attention and energy of your workforce. Employee engagement is absolutely essential to your success in transformational change.

This conference is about that. Open methods of leadership leverage the power of invitation to engage employees to achieve truly transformational outcomes. This is the leadership symposium where youll find out exactly how to do that, safely and pragmatically. You'll find your peers here, the leaders who have done it- your peers, who are doing it. Your peers who are now teaching others how.

And so: this is a very different kind of conference and symposium on business agility.

This is a learn-by-experience symposium on Open methods. At this event you'll engage deeply with peers, and learn to use Open methods.

The methods that actually work, at scale.

Transformations can't be accomplished without others helping voluntarily, & people dont help unless you engage them first.       -Geoffrey Moore, ZONE TO WIN

Inside this Symposium we have assembled some of the worlds foremost authorities on the best Open methods for achieving enterprise transformation. These speakers and Workshop leaders are de facto experts on self-management and Open principles as applied to agile and transformation at scale. These experts on Open Business Agility can and will show you how to safely and pragmatically bring much higher performance to your enterprise transformation through the use of these methods.

If you are responsible for leading agile and digital transformation, this is your conference.

This is where you will find the others.

ACTING LIKE AN EXECUTIVE COACH with Peter Fischbach and Daniel Mezick
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Transformation coaches have been told (and in fact SOLD) the idea that: if you can facilitate, if you can teach, and you can mentor, and you can coach, you are all set. This is simply not the case.  Facilitating, teaching, mentoring and coaching is *not* enough.

To counsel executives, they must first confidence in you, and  view you as a trusted adviser. Without this kind of relationship with executive leaders, all coaching is a local optimization that cannot and will not change the wider system. THIS course introduces you the essential and missing element to your coaching skills: acting like an executive coach.

To counsel executives, you must be perceived as a knowledgeable, trusted adviser. Getting there is not simple, and involves study, preparation, execution and follow-through on a wide range of essential skills in verbal and non-verbal communication.

This course teaches those skills, and how to leverage those skills to gain access to executives. The result is a real opportunity to manifest system-wide change by influencing executive decision-makers. This course includes a strong emphasis on acting skills, and acting concepts such as Acting Theory.

The first few tickets are discounted to reward those who commit first. Seating is limited to strictly 20 participants maximum. See the Symposium pages for instructor bios and details.

OPEN SPACE IN ORGANIZATIONS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The use of Open Space Technology can and will "transform your transformation."

This course provides you with *everything you need* to arrange and deliver powerful Open Space events that energize  employees, encourage higher performance, and lead to highly positive business outcomes.

You learn all of the practical aspects of Open Space through a series of Checklists. You learn how to prepare top leadership, the physical space and you learn to facilitate the Open Space event. More importantly, you learn the deeper reality of Open Space, and how it leads to higher performance by engaging employees in the process of changing & improving. You exit this class with a set of takeaway tools and everything else you need to confidently bring Open Space to your organization.

NOTE: If you plan to attend the OPENSPACE AGILITY Masterclass after the Symposium and have not yet arranged Open Space inside an organization, it is recommended that you take this class first.

The first few tickets are discounted to reward those who commit first. Seating is limited to strictly 20 participants maximum. See the Symposium pages for instructor bios and details.

OPENSPACE AGILITY with the Astrid Claessen, certified OSA Instructor
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This 1-day Master Class is based on the book THE OPENSPACE AGILITY HANDBOOK and is taught by the primary co-author. Agile frameworks are silent on employee engagement, and engagement is essential for success with agile transformation. OpenSpace Agility (OSA) is an Engagement Model upon which you build your engagement plan. Attend this class to learn how to focus on employee engagement. Learn to safely and pragmatically implement Agile in an agile way, by creating an enterprise-wide program of iterations that begin and end in highly-engaging, all-hands Open Space events. If you are less than satisfied with the results of your Agile initiatives, OSA represents a way to reboot, remake and restart, in service to much stronger results. Everything you need to transform your transformation is here. NOTE: If you are new to Open Space it is recommended that you attend the OPEN SPACE IN ORGANIZATIONS cert Workshop on the previous day, Monday November 18.

The first few tickets are discounted to reward those who commit first. Seating is limited to strictly 20 participants maximum. See the Symposium pages for instructor bios and details.
