Dean Ford and The Beautiful Ones Prince Tribute
Dean Ford is a Pop singer, songwriter, musician, and producer based in Portland, Maine. With his rainbow-hued album covers, hair color choices, and his shameless embrace of glorious, candy-colored, teeth-rotting synth-pop melodies, Ford is as close to a full-on pop star as Maine currently has. He doesnt pretend to be anything else since jettisoning his pop-punk past with Portland band, The Goodnight Process, hes fully transformed himself into a suits and eyeliner-weearing pop frontman, straight out of 2015.
Over the last few years, Dean has been busy. He has released five EPs of his own. He has performed hundreds of live shows, including playing as direct support for national bands Panic! At The Disco, Foxy Shazam, Fitz & The Tantrums, and Aaron Carter. When he isnt working on his own music, Ford is no stranger to collaboration. He wrote Trey Ewalds Happy Now, which was featured in Hollister and Abercrombie & Finch stores worldwide. He played drums on the new KGFREEZE album, Hypocrite. He even plays the part of Prince in a tribute band, featuring Matt Doctor Fink (an original member of Prince & The Revolution) from time to time.
Ford is fearless in his adoption of a thoroughly contemporary pop sound think Maroon 5, Kesha, Jason Derulo, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Think a drunken Instagram photo taken in a dark club with the X-Pro filter. Think a hastily assembled H&M outfit and several Vodka Red Bulls. His mere existence is probably infuriating to the basement show-playing art student contingent of his hometowns music scene, and Ford could care less about their approval. He doesnt need their approval. Hes here for the people.
His first proper full length albumGet Messy is now available at all Bull Moose locations and digitally on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. Are you ready to join the party?
