Our next dinner is scheduled for August 29th and will feature Chef Ashley Capps of Buxton Hall located in Asheville, North Carolina. Ashely is a current James Beard Award nominee! Save the date for our September 16th Celebrating the Seasons Dinner featuring Chef Matt Welch of the Vagabond Kitchen located in Wheeling, WV.

Celebrating the Seasons Dinner with The Waterwheel Restaurant
Our Celebrating the Seasons Dinner series continues Thursday, August 15, 2019 at J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works.  Chef Chris Dilts of the Waterwheel Restaurant located in Warm Springs, VA will dazzle you with his menu for the evening.

The gates and the full cash bar will open at 6:00PM.

The tour of the Salt-Works will begin at 6:30PM and you can enjoy liquid refreshments during the tour if you would like.

Dinner service will begin at 7:00PM.

Tickets are $85.00 per person and include the multi-course meal, non-alcoholic beverages and service.

First Course
Corn Soup consisting of
Crab, Goat Cheese, Jalapenos, Basil

Second Course
Lamb Ribs with
Celery, Fennel, Apple, Balsamic Reduction

Third Course
Tomato Aspic paired with
Garden Herbs, and Pickled Watermelon

Fourth Course
Smoked Brisket with
Ramp Chimichurri, Blue Cheese Polenta, Charred Tomatoes,
Pickled Radish

Fifth Course
Grilled Peaches topped with
White Peach Ice Cream, Greek Yogurt, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, White Balsamic and Mint


All courses feature salt from J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works



A portion of the ticket sales will benefit refresh Appalachia an economic and workforce development initiative in southern West Virginia providing training in farm and food entrepreneurship aiming to transform the lives of young people and those displaced from the coal and mining industry.
