Celebrate this Festival!
We are celebrating modern composers and the British Orpheus together in our March 21, 2020 7:30pm, "Celebrate this Festival!" With a Baroque orchestra and singers performing Purcell's famous music written for Queen Mary II: the Funeral Sentences and Music, and the joyful "Celebrate This Festival." Boston's own Adam Jacob Simon will share a performance of his own setting of John Dryden's very famous "A Song for St. Cecilia's Day, 1687," sung by the inimitable Sophie Michaux.
