Indie-soul band Dwight & Nicole will be performing July 1 at Alexs Place, the newest listening room on Marthas Vineyard. Alexs Place is located within the islands YMCA. Also performing will be Nashville-based singer/songwriter Sean Della Croce.
The show starts at 7:30pm, Doors open at 7:00pm.

Dwight & Nicole is an American indie-soul band fronted by Dwight Ritcher & Nicole Nelson. Ritcher and Nelson met in Boston cutting their teeth on the local club scene. They discovered a shared love of classic blues greats like Albert King and Lightnin' Hopkins, Mavis Staples, Jimmy Witherspoon and Etta James.
Dwight and Nicole, recently joined by drummer Ezra Oklan, have released two critically-acclaimed albums, and a third EP entitled Electric Lights which was recorded live to analog tape with multi-Grammy award nominated producer Joel Hamilton (Aaron Neville, The Meters, The Black Keys, Yoko Ono) at Studio G in Brooklyn, NY. Hamilton undoubtedly captures their sound and live energy. Dwight and Nicole are known for their dynamic live shows and well-crafted original songs, and have gained plenty of industry respect including nine Boston Music Awards, seven Boston Phoenix Awards, seven Daysie Awards, and six New England Music Awards.
Sean Della Croce is a songwriter with a voice powerfully tuned to every story she tells. A Nashville native, Della Croce grew up steeped in the citys culture and learned her craft by the light of some of musics biggest stars. She is the third generation of her family with the music business in her blood, growing up around such influential artists as Vince Gill, John Oates, Ralph Stanley, the Beach Boys and Leann Rimes. Such familiarity enabled her to absorb a wide-range of song craft and musical styles without being swept up by the larger-than-life personalities. Her just released album Illuminations is a blend of folk wisdom with Americana heart and a truly alternative soul. The record is rooted first and foremost in Della Croces poetic lyricsthe ten track album is comprised entirely of original songs. Her light-touch fingerstyle guitar playing shows flashes of influence from her late step-father, the well-known guitarist Pete Huttlinger.
