Beethoven and Blue Jeans with Christopher Anderson Reed

Christopher Anderson Reed, MM (ASCAP), a professional pianist in Fuquay-Varina, NC, is the Academy Director of the Jordan Academy for the Performing Arts and Director of Music at Jordan Lutheran Church in Apex, NC.

An active performer in the community, Chris' "Beethoven and Blue Jeans" concert series has drawn audiences of all ages and backgrounds since its beginnings in May 2009. He has also collaborated & performed with Ashley Jo Farmer, a touring vocalist with the nationally-acclaimed Billy Jonas Band & recording artist from Salisbury, NC. Chris has also served as a guest artist-teacher for Meredith College's Summer Piano Camps and serves regularly as an adjudicator for piano contests and festivals throughout the region.

Chris is a member of several professional music organizations, including the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association (Scholarship Committee Chair, 2013-2014), the North Carolina Music Teachers Association, and the American Society of Composers, Arrangers and Publishers (ASCAP). His students perform frequently in the community and have routinely earned top honors at local piano festivals and competitions. A Chris' arrangements for the piano soloist are published by the Lorenz Corporation.

Chris records all of his solo track selections on a 1983 Baldwin SD-10 concert grand piano, using a pair of balanced Rode NT-5 studio condenser microphones and a digital audio workstation powered by Cakewalk's SONAR 8.
