Mount Baker Home Tour 2019
The 2019 Mount Baker Home Tour will be held Saturday, December 7, from 10am to 4:00pm.
This long-standing tradition began in 1971, as part of Mount Bakers quest to combat redlining by showcasing not just our neighborhoods architectural treasures, but the diverse and welcoming community that we continue to be.
Today the Home Tour continues as a beloved biennial celebration. The proceeds support the operation of our historic,110-year-old Clubhouse and funds raised allow the Club to run many, many free and subsidized events for the community throughout the year.
This year's Home Tour will feature 5 stunning homes, the Community Club and historic Church, showcasing the architectural diversity of the neighborhood. The Tour begins and ends at the Clubhouse, designed by Charles Dose in the rustic Craftsman style typical of the 1910s. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies will be available at the Club House throughout the day.
Guests can walk the tour or use free shuttle transportation between destinations. Don't miss the Arts & Crafts Fair in the Club House for unique holiday gifts from local artists. All activities are ongoing throughout the day, thanks to the friendly volunteer support of neighborhood residents! Guests are asked to bring shoes/slippers to change into when in the home. A commemorative bag will be provided for outdoor shoes.
Tickets are $40 if pre-booked or $45 if bought on the day of the event.
For questions or to volunteer at the Home Tour, please email hometour@mountbaker.org. Please bring your friends, family and neighbors to celebrate Mount Bakers beauty and community spirit!
