Do It Yourself Success: Plan and Implement your dream project
Do you dream of launching a growing your creative project into a sustainable business but don't know where to start? This workshop will focus on giving you the tools you need to make the project of your dreams a success. Whether its finishing your first zine, launching a small press, business or organization, planning a book tour, or opening a shop selling handmade goods, this workshop will help you articulate a mission, create a timeline, set goals, and find resources for your dream project.
Facilitated by Eleanor Whitney, IPRC member and author of "Grow: How to take your do it yourself project and passion to the next level and quit your job!" It will begin with a presentation on the basics of how to clearly define your project and how to develop a project's mission. An interactive session, you will work with other participants in small groups to set and share your projects, articulate your goals and identify areas where your need to find additional resources to bring your project to fruition. Come with an idea you want to develop and expect to leave with concrete steps to take to actualize your project and the motivation that comes with knowing you are part of a strong community of DIY creators and entrepreneurs.
