A-Y/dancers at the Howland
After a sold-out debut at the Howland Cultural Center in the Fall, the Beacon-based repertory company A-Y/dancers returns to reprise its first season of contemporary dance. It's your last chance to experience Merce Cunningham's postmodern genius, Doug Varone's thrilling physicality, and Hannah Garner's eloquent storytelling side-by-side...with some exciting additions!
A-Y/dancers, founded in 2017 by directors Sienna Blaw, Claire Deane and Erin Landers, presents modern and contemporary dance to audiences across the Hudson Valley (and beyond!). In their last year, A-Y/dancers has been programed by the Howland Cultural Center, the Trust Performing Arts Center (Lancaster, Pennsylvania), Factory ArtSpace (New York City), the Arts Society of Kingston (Kingston, New York) ECFA KuBe Gallery (Beacon, New York) and the Central Park SummerStage (New York City, among others.
