Pride - Cinema Nights at Leith Theatre
Leith Theatre in partnership with Cinetopia are celebrating Pride Month at June's Cinema Nights with the movie Pride!
A British film released in 2014, described by Time Out as "the holy grail for filmmakers: to tell a story with something to say about our world that is also shamelessly entertaining, moving and funny."
Pride is a historical com-dram based on the true story of a group of gay and lesbian activists who raised money to help the families affected by the 1984 British Miners strike.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and we will be showing a beautiful short film documenting these events during the evening!
Once again tickets are only a fiver!
Cinema Nights at Leith Theatre are the last Wednesday of the month and this one is no exception.
Pride is Rated 15 for language and brief sexual content. 15+ entry allowed but all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Bar open for 6:30pm. Doors open from 7:00pm. Show time 7:30pm. 1 intermission.
