GAWLER FAMILY TRIO COMING TO READFIELD UNION MEETING HOUSE

On Tuesday, July 16, the Readfield Union Meeting House will feature the Gawler Family Trio as part of the "Meet Me At The Meeting House" Summer Series for 2019. The program will begin at 7PM and tickets can be purchased at the door or through Brown Paper Tickets. All tickets cost $10.

The Gawler Family Trio, consisting of Molly, Edith and John Gawler, will perform an assortment of old and new sounds from many folk traditions. Their unique harmonies are accompanied by fiddles, banjo, guitar and harmonica. Anyone who has ever heard them recalls first the pure joy with which they perform their music. Whether singing worksongs or humorous commentary on everyday life, they are having fun. And when they play Scots-Irish and French Canadian dance tunes, they fairly light up the stage with their spirit, energy and skill.

Refreshments will be sold before the concert and at intermission.

The Readfield Union Meeting House is located at 22 Church Rd, Readfield, ME 04355. All profits from this event will go towards ongoing restoration of this building on the National Registry of Historic Places.
