The Hip.Bang! Harold Workshop

This workshop has a maximum capacity of 16 people. Hip.Bang! is an imaginative improv duo that delighted audiences at improv and comedy festivals around North America, including San Francisco SketchFest, Rapid Fire Theatre's Improvaganza, the Chicago Improv Festival, UCB New York's Del Close Marathon, DuoFest, the Vancouver International Improv Festival, and more. In 2011 and 2012 they were named Pick of the Fringe at the Victoria Fringe Festival. Hip.Bang! produces and performs their Hip.Bang! Show every Wednesday as well as their monthly showcase of the best in Vancouver improv: 10 SPEED Hip.Bang! shows are not created with any preconceived structure, and as a result can range from bawdy, game-filled romps to more linear, story-driven affairs. Inspired by a single word, Tom Hill and Devin Mackenzie create fast-changing scenes that explore the wildly absurd and deeply sincere, often simultaneously. Hill and Mackenzie are perpetually in each other's heads as they take on multitudes of quick-changing characters, scenes, and ideas, even as they remain playfully focused on mutual sabotage. Hip.Bang! Was recently nominated for a 2013 Canadian Comedy Award as Best Improv Troupe.
