Lantern Lighting Celebration at Lakewood
Join us at Lakewood with your family, friends and community for a moving and meaningful experience. Lakewood's 5th annual Lantern Lighting Celebration will take place on Saturday, September 21, from 4:30-8 p.m.
At the event, you can decorate a floating lantern with words of love and remembrance (art supplies will be provided). Local musicians will perform while you create, and food vendors will be on hand with a variety of food and refreshments.
At dusk we will light our lanterns and release them onto Lakewood's lake in a beautiful ceremony. The effect is breathtaking and magical, connecting us to our loved ones and to each other.
Event attendance is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome! Buy a ticket for every lantern you'd like to decorate: $5 in advance, $10 at the door.
This event will be canceled if it's raining. Should this happen, we'll email all registered guests by 3 p.m. on Saturday. We will also post on our Facebook page. Full refunds will be provided.
