Epic Theater Company presents Dividing the Estate
Join us August 9th, 10th,14th, 16th, 23rd, and 24 at 8pm for a performance of Dividing The Estate by Horton Foote Epic Theatre Company is heading to South County for the Rhode Island premiere of Horton Foote's masterful study of family, money, and greedDividing the Estate.
It's the 1980's in Texas, and the Gordon family is sitting on a 100-year-old estate and a bank account that is rapidly dwindling. Their only hope may be sectioning off and selling their family land if they want to retain their old-fashioned way of Southern living. The problem is that Stella, the grand matriarch, has no interest in selling, and she's not going to give into her children without a fight.
Dividing the Estate is both a dark comedy and a look at the old American South as it was taking its last breath.
