Under the Puppet Podcast Live Recording with special guest Trace Beaulieu of MST 3000
Join host Grant Baciocco for a special LIVE recording of Under the Puppet Podcast at the 2019 National Puppetry Festival at the University of Minnesota Minneapolis! His guest will be Trace Beaulieu, the original Crow T. Robot on Mystery Science Theatre 3000! The two will discuss Traces puppetry career and then the floor will be opened for questions from the audience!
About The Show: Under The Puppet www.underthepuppet.com is a monthly show that talks to professional puppeteers about the business of puppetry to help aspiring puppeteers turn pro! Hosted by Grant Baciocco (The Jim Henson Company, Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Return).
About the Guest: TRACE BEAULIEU is a comic actor, writer, and performer. He was a founding member of the Emmy-nominated, Peabody Award-winning, cult hit show, Mystery Science Theater 3000. In addition to writing, occasionally directing, designing and building sets and props, Trace performed the puppet character Crow T. Robot, and mad scientist Dr. Clayton Forrester. He repeated these roles in the 1996 film version of the show, MST3K: THE MOVIE. Trace wrote for ABCs Americas Funniest Videos for nine seasons. He played a recurring character on Freak and Geeks, and has had cameo appearances on The West Wing and Arrested Development. For six years, he toured with the original cast of MST3K in a live movie riffing show, called CINEMATIC TITANIC. His most recent acting work includes the voice of A.R.T. the robot on Paul Feigs OTHER SPACE, Dr. Sam Lodgpole on the web series VERMIN and Jonah Rays creepy uncle Pete on HIDDEN AMERICA season 2. His voice can be heard on the upcoming Adult Swim series TIGTONE. Trace currently travels with fellow MST3K alum Frank Conniff as THE MADS ARE BACK www.themadsareback.com
