Smart Summer Reads July 21, 2019
Your favorite summer event is back! Smart Summer Reads (SSR) is fast, fun, and guaranteed to supply you with some great reading this summer.

Here's who's coming to SSR:

Chip Cheek's debut novel, Cape May, may be the perfect beach read! Two young newlyweds on their honeymoon meet a beautiful group of locals in Cape May and then it gets really interesting!

S.L. Huang created a block buster debut and series opener Zero Sum Game in 2018. In her second book Null Set, Cas Russell is back with her extraordinary mathematical ability in another action-packed Science Fiction thriller.

Kaira Rouda and her perfect summer mystery, The Perfect Daugher will keep you guessing. The perfect home. The perfect family. The perfect lie. What's next?

Deb Spera's her poignant debut novel, Call Your Daughter Home takes place in 1924 South Carolina. This engrossing book introduces us to three unforgettable women, their families and their secrets.

Abbi Waxman and her entertaining third novel The Big Bookish Life of Nina Hill returns to Smart Summer Reads with her best book yet. With Abbi, you are in for a great conversation and a wonderful new character to meet.

Gwendolyn Womack is another Smart Summer Reads fave and she returns to the realm of magic with The Time Collector. For fans and newbies alike ... don't miss Gwen's latest.

Here's how Smart Summer Reads works:

Our authors will join us on July 21 at 3:00pm. We will mix and chat from 3:00pm to 3:15pm and then the fun begins!

There will be six stations set up in a private home in Manhattan Beach. One for each author. You will move from station to station in 10-minute intervals giving each author approximately 7 minutes to tell you about their latest book and answer questions.

It is tons of fun and you will have an opportunity to visit with authors you want to know more about and get your books signed.

The program will wrap up at 4:45pm so you can go home and read a good book!

This not-for-women-only event promises something for everyone!
