2019 Seattle Poetry Gland Slam
Poetry Slam is a competition in which poets have 3 minutes to perform orginal poetry. The contestants are judged by 5 randomly picked jugdes that rate each poem on a scale of 0 to 10 using criterion such as creativity, orginality, and performance.
The Seattle Poetry Grand Slam is a 3 round competition featuring 8 of the top performance poets in the city of Seattle. At the end of the night the 4 highest rated poets will earn the right to represent the city of Seattle regionally and nationally. The highest ranking poet will earn the title of Grand Slam Poet and Seattle Poetry Slam Poet in Residence.
The Slam will take place on Sunday June 23rd 7pm at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute (104 17th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144).
