DIY Herbal Summer Self Care
Summer is the best time to play outside, and it takes some extra self care to keep our skin soothed and bug free. Most people are familiar with the essential oil, citronella, for keeping away pesky insects, but there are also other essential oils and herbs that repel bugs, all of which we'll be using. Cooling peppermint, which grows in abundance in the summer, not only keeps critters away, but also cools and soothes skin after too much sun. At this class you will make your own bug repellents (a body oil and a body spray) and after sun care with all natural ingredients that enhance body, mind, and mood while staying green and sustainable.
This class will be hosted at 21 Acres Center for Local Food and Sustainable Living, a nonprofit organization in Woodinville interested in inspiring the community to climate action through the local food system. Come learn about herbal remedies for a sunny, bug-free summer on the farm!
