Glen or Glenda
A film of great conviction -- New York Times
A rich amalgam of...film noir, the manipulative authority of the medical profession and the power of sexuality. -- Bright Lights Film Journal
I never for a second expected, that as Barbara collapsed in her apartment, a buffalo stampede would be superimposed on the scene with Bela Lugosi yelling POOL DA SHTRINKS! POOL DA SHTRINKS! ('Pull the strings', if you don't speak Lugosi). -- IGN

Thoughtful and daring, GLEN OR GLENDA is Ed Woods infamous 1953 directorial debut -- and as we re-examine our cinematic past, is the worlds first trans-themed film. (Since it predates LGBT terminology, its characters are not technically trans.) But its not only rock-solid history, its deeply touching as well.
Glen (played by Ed himself) has a terrible secret which could destroy a happily-ever-after with his lady, for how can she handle another woman in Glens life? And what will she do when she finds out Glen is the other woman? And what in the world is guest star Bela Lugosi on about?!?!
