Strident Series: Crystal Night
"Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak for me." Young activist Emma and her parents, Izzy and Claire, are already on the brink of a familial explosion when the government leaves an insidious note on their doorstep. In the face of mass shootings, hate crimes, deportations, and more, Emma and Izzy leap into necessary action, leaving Claire to make sense of what the world is doing to her wife, her daughter, and herself. Set in the not-too-distant future, Crystal Night is a reflection of an American family trapped in the country at its most frighteninga level of frightening which, indeed, has become the new normal.
