The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area invites you to be part of our 15th Anniversary Celebration! Our annual meeting, "Gather 'Round the Blue Ridge" will take place on Tuesday, August 6. Please register now and join us at the Mission Health/AB Tech Conference Center in Asheville.
Here are just a few reasons to look forward to "Gather 'Round":
*Regional craft demonstrators will be on hand.
*Traditional bluegrass music will kick-off the event.
*And, highlights from 15 years of celebrating, promoting and protecting this region's natural and cultural assets will be shared.
This will be a very special day, and we are honored to welcome keynote speaker, Anne Pope, Tennessee Arts Commission Executive Director. A dedicated champion of cultural tourism, Anne previously served as federal co-chair of the Appalachian Regional Commission, where she led a variety of economic and community development initiatives. Ann's experience has also included commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, as well as executive director of the Tennessee Film, entertainment and Music Commission. Ann's presentation will be important for all of us to hear!
