THIS YEAR'S EXPERIMENT
theLAB presents Experiment A: Color Stories, where we will be showing works by Beatrice Capote, Antonio Brown Dance, Shay Bland, Ma'atworks Dance Collective, and SGalberth.
WHAT IS theLAB?
theLAB is an imaginative, experimental space where choreographers of color and dancers can openly create. It is an environment for artists and audiences to collaborate in conversation. theLAB presents everyday human stories as well as the taboos we dont discuss. Our mission is to be a vehicle for choreographers of color to share our stories in our own voices.
OUR GOAL
We want theLAB to be an annual series for choreographers of COLOR. Our mission is to be a platform where artists can create without restrictions.
WHERE WILL THE SHOW TAKE PLACE?
The show will be at County Prep High School Theater - 525 Montgomery St, Jersey City, NJ 07302, just a twenty minute walk from the Journal Square PATH station in Jersey City, NJ.
