Stromsoe brings her own distinctive musical background to her performances. She grew up traveling with her family to various art festivals that immersed her in creative awareness and she started singing in choirs from eight years old. Her earliest memories include imitating every nuance of Ella Fitzgerald on a Gershwin album, and continuously replaying a collection of Atlantic Soul Classic hits. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, she has developed into a veteran vocalist drawing from a command of numerous genres.
Stromsoe performs a blend of old soul, blues, jazz and eclectic standards and originals. Her voice has been described as sensual, nourishing and rich in quality. With clarity and presence, she helps shape a distinctive experience for her audiences. Mezzo-Soprano Jacalyn Kreitzer has described Stromsoes voice as over the moon with stunning emotion, depth, range and timbre. Nicole simply gives me goosebumps when she sings." After more than four decades of playing, Dorian Michael brings a masterful and unique finger-style performance to his guitar-playing. Michael has been named by Digitaldreamdoor.com to its list of 100 acoustic guitar greats. He has appeared in varied venues, from smokey honky-tonks to theater orchestra pits. He has developed his licks in blues and folk, jazz and rock and roll. He's simply amazing on acoustic guitar. His on-stage wit and earthy presence always stretches the fun for his audiences. Says Dorian, "Some music makes you feel, some makes you think and some music is just for the fun of it. I try to get to all those places in the space of a performance."
