ESC Beach Naturalist Training
Do you want to help the Earth? Are you curious what animals are on the beach? Do you like to share what you learn with others? If so, join us for a naturalist training on some of the marine animals you can find at Seahurst Park!
This leadership course is for ages 15 and above to encourage interest in environmental education, marine science, career development and nature appreciation. You'll learn some key stewardship tips, ways to identify local animals, how Seahurst Park is home to the largest restoration project in Puget Sound, and gain resources to further assist your explorations.
The first hour will be in the classroom at our center and the last two will be applying what we learned on public guided walks with some of our seasoned naturalists. If you enjoy this kind of interpretation, you could also assist us in our Moonlight Beach Walks in fall and winter or with our Beach Heroes school program next spring!
We hope you'll join us in sharing the treasures of Seahurst Park in caring ways!
Learn our STARS acronym for ensuring people respect the beach habitat:
