Dixon Chapel
Chicago, IL
Share this event:

Author Matthew Fox, author of "The Lotus & The Rose" with Lama Tsomo,  is a distinguished theologian, scholar, and activist who was silenced by the Catholic Church for his progressive and inclusive beliefs. Co-author Lama Tsomo is an American-born secular Jew who once embraced Tibetan Buddhism as a student, and now is embraced as a teacher.
Buddhists, Christians, followers of other spiritual traditions, and even those with no formal spiritual tradition at all will be intrigued by the range of ideas, and impressed and enlightened by the knowledge and experience that Matthew and Lama Tsomo brought to their contributions in this volume.
Join Matthew Fox live on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 10:30 AM to Noon for an exploration of the mystical connections between Eastern and Western traditions, followed by Q&A.

Location: 77 W. Washington St. (at Clark), 2nd floor Dixon Chapel, Chicago.
Time: 10:30 - Noon, Saturday, June 29, 2019
Ticket Price: $10-12

Matthew Fox is a spiritual theologian, an Episcopal priest and an activist for gender justice and eco-justice.  He has written 37 books that have been translated into other languages over 70 times. Fox holds a doctorate in the history and theology of spirituality from the Institut Catholique de Paris. The founder of the University of Creation Spirituality in California, he conducts dozens of workshops each year and is a visiting scholar at the Academy for the Love of Learning.
