The Otis Redding Legacy
The Otis Redding Legacy featuring McKinley Moore
SOUL DANCE TONIGHT! Recreating the magic of The King of Soul live in concert
Sat. July 13 at 8:30pm $10 adv./$12 door Dance ages 21 +
The Otis Redding Legacy plays more than beautiful renditions on Otis Reddings greatest hits, they are a full-on horn band extravaganza that will keep you dancing through two big, long sets. Otis had covered many other performers songs and wrote and recorded a couple hundred or more tunes in his own right, including songs for Arthur Conley such as "Do You Like Soul Music" as well as Beatles covers " Day Tripper" and "Hard Days Night" and James Brown's "Brand New Bag", Eddie Floyd "Knock On Wood", Jackie Wilson "Higher and Higher" and so many more. Otis Reddings recording career started in 1962. His live tragically ended in a plane crash in 1967. During that brief five year period, this Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recorded more hits that most anyone ever has in the history of music. McKinley Moore is keeping the legacy of Otis Redding alive today. His style respectfully recreates the magic of The King of Soul, backed by a world class 7 pice band.
