Frederick Hodges Presents the Classic Silent Film - The Mark of Zorro
Coming to Fort Bragg this summer, internationally renowned pianist, Frederick Hodges, will present a classic from Hollywood's Silver Screen, performing his original film score on the magnificent Falcone grand piano. On Saturday, August 25, it's the absolute Granddaddy of swashbuckling, "action" films, "The Mark of Zorro" starring Douglas Fairbanks, in his role that defined a new cinematic genre.
This event will also include a Silent Auction of terrific items and bargains galore, a generous concession counter providing all one's favorite movie snacks and soft drinks, beer and wine, and vintage music records played on an authentic model "Victor Talking Machine" phonograph. The performance will take place at the Eagles Hall of Fort Bragg, located at 210 N. Corry Street.
Doors open at 1:30 to allow ample time to take seats and grab some popcorn. Also included is an engaging introduction by Frederick Hodges preceding the movies. Plan for this unique experience on the Mendocino Coast, and make a note on your calendar, Now!
Note: Mr. Hodges will present the silent film classic, "Safety Last!" on Saturday, August 24 at 6:30 pm at the same location. Tickets for this event are also available through Brown Paper Tickets.
A fundraiser for the Symphony of the Redwoods.
