2013 MBLA Summer Clambake
Join MBLA members, family and friends on August 11, 2013 at Thompson Island for our Annual Summer Clambake!
Ticket price includes roundtrip ferry, full clambake menu, and activities.
Clambake meal features: clam chowder, 1 1/2 lb lobster, mussels, steamers, grilled chicken, vegetarian lasagna, corn on the cob, new potatoes, desserts, and a two hour open premium bar. For children, the Clambake menu will be available and a limited number of hot dogs and hamburgers.
The Clambake dinner will begin promptly at 3:15pm. Enjoy the backdrop of a beautiful sunset shining over one of the most spectacular Boston views. To complete the experience, take a walk on the beach or participate in complimentary activities with other MBLA members and their families, including volleyball matches, a self-guided nature hike, horseshoes, and much more!
Schedule of Events:
1:15-1:30 - Check in and board private MBLA ferry from EDIC/Black Falcon Terminal in South Boston
1:30 - Private MBLA ferry Departs
2:00-3:15 - Activities on Thompson Island, Open Premium Bar, and Light Refreshments Served
3:15-5:15 - Reception and Dinner
5:30 - Depart Thompson Island
*Transportation through private MBLA ferry to and from Thompson Island is included in ticket price. The MBLA private ferry will leave promptly at 1:30pm and will leave the Island at 5:30pm. Please note that if you do not take the private MBLA ferry, your ticket price does not include public ferry transportation offered through Thompson Island. The Thompson Island public ferry charges $17.00 per person. Public ferries depart EDIC/Black Falcon Terminal, South Boston to Thompson Island: 8:00AM, 12:00 PM (Noon). Public ferries depart Thompson Island returning to South Boston: 11:30 AM, 4:30 PM. The ferry takes approximately 25 minutes.
