Spend those hot summer nights at The Side Yard Farm every second Wednesday of the month this summer. Join us on Wednesday, June 12th to kickoff our 6th season of Bike in Movie Nights and Pride month here in Portland. We started movie nights in order to bring community together and spotlight some really talented artisans. This June we are celebrating the queer community! This lineup of queer business owners are changing the Portland food and beverage scene and we are excited to host them. Enjoy crafty cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine by Either/Or and delicious slices of pizza by no other than Red Sauce Pizza. Side Yard will be serving up our signature farmy popcorn and cookies from Miss Zumsteins. Since we are celebrating badass queers, we will be showing 'But Im a Cheerleader', starring Natasha Lyonne and Clea Duvall. It's a hilarious 1999 cult romantic comedy that successfully satirizes the gay community, the social construction of gender roles, heteronormativity and the religious right.
We also have a special treat for you all. As you arrive and we wait for the sun to set, queer comics will take the stage and get you all fired up for the movie. ALL ARE WELCOME to this event. Did I mention you should ride your bike?! It's a bike in movie ya'll. Ticket includes admission, food, beverage, a sweet treat and supporting the queer community. A percentage of profits will be going to the Q Center. The Q Center's mission is to provide safe spaces, community building and empowerment for the positive transformation of LGBTQ2SIA+ communities and allies in the Pacific Northwest.

EITHER/OR CAFE Ro Tam founded Either/Or in 2013 as a multi-roaster cafe featuring a selection of coffee roasters around the country as well as a menu of coffee mocktails. Last year she opened a second cafe on North Williams Ave and expanded the focus to include a full food menu and doubling the concept to a neighborhood cocktail bar in the evening. Either/Or is a safe space for POC and queer communities. They currently hosts DJ nights and will aim to have more events planned throughout the year.
RED SAUCE PIZZA Shardell Dues's first job was making pizza and it will be her last. She began making pizza in 1998 at Vancouver Pizza Company. She worked her way through a bunch of other pizzerias including Apizza Scholls, where she ran the kitchen there for four years. Red Sauce Pizza is welcoming to all, first and foremost. They do full table service and really want to make their guests feel welcome! They offer dine-in, take out, and delivery through Caviar. The pies are made from a poolish, which is a preferment and baked in a hot electric Baker's Pride oven. So that crust has a crunchy chewy texture and some superficial char.
