PopUp For Good #11 Will Support Souper Saturdays at First Presbyterian
When: Sunday, June 9 (3 seatings: 5 pm, 6:30 pm and 8 pm)
Where: Curt's North, 2922 Central in Evanston
What: $20 (kids $10) for pizza, salad, old-time soda fountain drinks and dessert
Who: All profits wills support First Presbyterian Souper Saturdays (more below)
ABOUT SOUPER SATURDAY
Super Saturday was established in 1983 as a ministry of First Presbyterian Church Evanston. Every Saturday, 80 to 100 guests are served a three course well prepared meal in a warm, welcoming environment. Souper Saturday is open to the community; some guests in attendance are homeless and some are supplementing their resources.
From the proceeds of this benefit, the Souper Saturday team will enhance the meals with additional meats, fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. In addition, it will purchase a new immersion blender and new aprons for volunteers serving meals.
