HD ANNOUNCES HOMECOMING CD RELEASE PARTY
MUSKEGON, MICH. July, 2013 With the success of the summer of 2011, HD went on a hiatus to work on recreating themselves, their sound and brand HD is back and prepared to release their all-original project "Homecoming" at a special release party being held at Watermark 920. With the lack of venues located in Muskegon, musical acts have often been forced to pursue other demographic regions in West Michigan, such as Grand Rapids. With the addition of Watermark on the lakeshore is a chance to bring some of these acts home. This event will serve as a groundbreaker, especially for local, Muskegon hip hop musicians to prove there is more their genre and to explore this art form on the stage. This is sure to be a very entertaining and diverse show.
About HD: Muskegon's Own Jodi Dro (Jose Loera) and Pape (Jaron Loera) have been performing their craft of Hip Hop for a little over 4 years now. After a successful release of their second cd "The Takeover" they had a radio single which was a simple cover of Mann's "Buzzin". The cover however took off, getting clear channel radio play on Grand Rapids' 104.5 WSNX. It was dubbed the "West Michigan Remix" and even peaked at #3 in their top 5 most requested songs for two weeks straight. With the success of Buzzin, they were booked for Grand Rapids' "Party In The Park" and "Rock The Rapids" opening up for national acts such as LMFAO, Ludacris, T-Pain, Big Sean, And More.
