An Evening with Gretchen Roedde
Looking to combine your love of books and a good cause? Then join author Gretchen Roedde as she reads from her latest book, the second edition of A Doctor's Quest, at the Roedde House Museum. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Horizons of Friendship.
Doors open at 630pm, reading at 7pm.
Registration includes a signed book and refreshments.
Horizons of Friendship began as an NGO focused on child sponsorship. Today, its mission has grown to include community development, projects related to HIV/AIDS, violence against women, MNCH, and its reach has expanded to all of Central America & Mexico. The Roedde House Museum is the family home of Gustav and Matilda Roedde, who came to Vancouver in 1888. He became Vancouvers first bookbinder, opening G.A Roedde Bookbinders in 1890. To learn more about the museum, visit http://www.roeddehouse.org.
