Basics of Tinsmithing class at Landis Valley: Tin Punch a Luminary
Tin-punching is a colonial art form that came to America from the British Isles. Because it was inexpensive, tin was a favorite metal to craft candleholders, lanterns, cookie cutters, ornaments, and other light metalwork meant to be used regularly.
In this 3-hour class, Landis Valley Tinsmith Beth Feaser will teach you about cutting, punching, and finishing off a tin luminary. This is a great craft and it's even better when learned with friends!
