Speakeasy Summer
SANTA CRUZ, CA Local aerial and circus arts studio Radical Movement Factory is now selling tickets for their vintage-themed summer show featuring circus acts, snacks, and a complimentary drink. Speakeasy Summer is an eclectic cabaret that will run two nights only on Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st. The shows take place at Radical Movement Factory, located in the Old Wrigley Building with doors and box office opening at 6:30 and show starting at 7pm.
Advance purchase of tickets is highly recommended, as tickets at the door are subject to availability. Pre-sale tickets cost $30/person or 2 for $50, $35 at the door. Admission includes light snacks, a complimentary drink, and sweet treat to finish off the evening - all accompanied by an evening of aerial and dance entertainment, including acrobatic feats on ropes, silks, hoops as well as an aerial cube.
"This is sure to be fun experience for all ages and a great way to kick-off the start of summer," says Emily Knoblauch, co-owner of Radical Movement Factory. This show will offer comedy and high caliber circus acts to new audiences and promises to be a memorable occasion."
Speakeasy Summer is Radical Movement Factorys second professional evening length production. Last December, Shine! thrilled a sold-out audience as a unique alternative to traditional office holiday parties, family outings and a couple's night out.
Back by popular demand, David Poznanter of Boom Circus will be the ringmaster of the evening with zany commentary and audience interaction. Poznanter is an international circus arts coach, performer of juggling/cyr wheel, and director who recently relocated to the Bay Area from Paris. He most recently completed three years of international touring with his two-man mask/circus show BOOM! (www.boomcircus.com).
Knoblauch adds, "Our aim is to share the joy of circus, feature local talent, and celebrate summer with the local community."
The show runs approximately 2 hours.
Friday May 31st and Saturday June 1st. Box office opens at 6:30pm, show starts at 7pm.
All ages welcome.
