Re:Sound 2: Berrow Duo/Sound Energy
Join us for the second show of our 2nd annual new and experimental music festival, Re:Sound 2019! This 4-day event brings together and showcases pioneers in the arts at some of Cleveland's most intimate spaces. The festival is presented by Cleveland Uncommon Sound Project. Come hang out in Slavic Village's re-purposed furniture store and hear some beautiful music! This evening's performers are coming to us from Boston and New York City!

Show starts at 8pm, doors open at 7:30pm.

$12 general/$8 students and seniors
$35 festival pass/$25 students and senior festival pass (gets you into all 6 shows!)
-purchase tickets in advance (going on sale in early May)
-no one turned away for lack of funds

Berrow Duo is a New York City-based chamber ensemble of flute and cello exploring the intersections of music, text, and improvisation. Rodriguezs Anatomical Venus references pop music as source material while Klartags Hat Trick uses an Etgar Keret short story as musical form. Leah Ashers three-movement graphic score If we should meet, here ties the program together.

Sound Energy is a dynamic, Boston-based string trio committed to exploring new sounds, new collaborations, and new music. Established in 2013, Sound Energy is constantly searching for ways to push the traditional violin-viola-cello combination to represent the bold, daring voices of 20th- & 21st-century composers. Friday evening's program features works written by living female composers over the last two decades by Sofia Gubaidulina, Kaija Saariaho, and a new commission by Tamar Diesendruck.
