Cry Innocent: the People vs. Bridget Bishop (summer 2019)
*October/November tickets are available here: https://cryinnocentoctober2019.bpt.me*
If you want to understand the Salem Witch Trials, you have to experience Cry Innocent. The year is 1692. Bridget Bishop has been accused of witchcraft and YOU are on the Puritan jury. Hear the historical testimonies, cross-examine the witnesses and decide the verdict. Is Bridget Bishop capable of witchcraft?
Not all of Salems witchiness is silly. The play Cry Innocent: The People Versus Bridget Bishop, in which the audience may question the accused, is educational and beautifully performed. - The New York Times
The 2019 season of Cry Innocent will run seven days per week June 16-August 25th and October 1-November 2. September shows are on Saturdays and Sundays only. All are at the Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square, Salem, MA.
