Join us for an evening of soulful music with artists Mark Pickerel & the Peyote 3 + Ian Moore & the Mescal 4 as part of BIMA's first ever Mojo Rhythm & Blues Festival, a four day weekend of live music and events happening July 11-14.
ABOUT MARK PICKEREL
From the wild and wooly and weird Pacific Northwest, Mark Pickerel has quite the back story. He was the drummer in seminal grunge faves The Screaming Trees, and has played on albums with Mark Lanegan, Brandi Carlile, Neko Case and Nirvana. He even owned the most culturally and musically diverse record store in Eastern Washington.
ABOUT IAN MOORE
Encouraged by his parents, Ian Moore took up the violin at age six, moving to guitar nine years later. The Austin-based blues-rocker's early influences included the Beatles, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, and Sly & the Family Stone. Moore gained experience touring as a guitarist with Joe Ely; this led the way to a solo tour opening for the Rolling Stones and ZZ Top. He then signed with Capricorn; three records followed from 1993-1995: Ian Moore, Live from Austin EP, and Modernday Folklore.
