ARTS ENCOUNTER, FERDINANAND, THE BULL, Ages 7-10
Your young ones meet for 2 classes daily (dance and art), for 4 consecutive days, to explore, through dance, art, music, and foods from around the world - a different theme each week:
FERDINAND, THE BULL: July 8 - 11
Recreating a 70 year old classic, dancers tell the story of a mild mannered bull who would much rather smell the flowers than fight.
This dance combines the rhythm of flamenco, the happy calm of adagio, and the lively scurry of a bumble bee.
Monday through Thursday,
Your young dancers will explore a different story ballet each week culminating in a Thursday family performance.
The children will use improvisation, basic movement concepts, folk dance, and classical ballet to recreate the story ballets.
Your children will design and construct costumes, props, and scenery to enhance their production.
At snack time, well explore different cultures as we sample foods from around the world.
