Art for Health Lecture Series
Panel Discussion:Looking Forward to Aging on the East End
Artful Home Care is pleased to announce the Art for Health initiative. This lecture will take place May 11th, at 3:30pm in Southampton Arts Center Theater, Southampton NY. The discussions, moderated by Beth McNeill-Muhs, will highlight opportunities for increasing quality of life while aging on the East End.
Do you wonder how you can maintain your well-being as you enter elder-hood? Do you question whether or not you or a loved one could benefit from some in-home support, but don't feel a health aide is the right choice? Do you want to know what the community is doing to help improve quality of life for East End residents? What do you think about enhancing your nutrition to ward off chronic conditions? What about taking a tai chi class, or dance class to improve balance and help you avoid an unwanted fall? Have you considered engaging in an art program, but wonder how to get started? Do you wonder what helps to stimulate your brain to improve your memory? Have you found yourself feeling socially isolated?
The lecture will highlight local health care professionals, as well as professionals who use the creative arts and other alternative measures as a means of healing and wellness. These discussions are an opportunity to educate community residents and begin a dialogue regarding the topic of aging on the East End.
