THE RUBBER ROOM - by Neil Friedland- Summerfest 2019
Drawn from newspaper headlines, this play imagines several characters who have been assigned to the infamous New York City rubber rooms for teachers relieved of their teaching duties. The play examines the conflicting motives and desires of these teachers (without assuming their guilt) as they are caught up in the bureaucratic machinery of a large metropolitan city. There are surprising twists.
