2019 Spring into Music with the Golden Valley Orchestra
Join us as Michal Sobieski, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Golden Valley Orchestra will perform the Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25 for violin and orchestra by Pablo De Sarasate. This violin fantasy of themes from the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet, is one of Sarasates most well known works. Because of its delicate techniques and sanguineous passion inspired by the opera, the Carmen Fantasy is one of the most challenging and technically demanding pieces for the violin.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550 I. Molto allegro
Pablo de Sarasate Carmen Fantasy, Op. 25 for violin and orchestra Michal Sobieski, Violin
Igor Stravinsky Berceuse and Finale from Firebird Suite
Antonín Dvoák Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95, From the New World II. Largo IV. Allegro con fuoco
