David Cale: "FRESH" with Matthew Dean Marsh on Piano and Vocals. Presented by TWEED.
This show is part of "Sundays @ Seven", a series presented by TWEED Theater Works, Kevin Malony artistic director.
Before the New York Premiere of their new musical work "We're Only Alive for A Short Amount of Time" opens at The Public Theater in June, the songwriting team of David Cale and Matthew Dean Marsh will perform an all stops out concert of their songs, "FRESH" at Pangea. The concert will also feature a one time only sneak preview reading of an excerpt of a new one-woman thriller, "Sandra", that David is writing for Audible, the producer of his recent hit show "Harry Clarke".
David Cale is the writer and performer of solo shows including the Obie winning Lillian (Playwrights Horizons), A Likely Story (The New Group), Deep in a Dream of You (The Public Theater, Bessie Award). Most recently he wrote the solo play Harry Clarke, starring Billy Crudup (Vineyard Theatre/Audible, Minetta Lane Theatre, 2018 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Solo Show) and wrote the book, lyrics, and co-composed the music with Matthew Dean Marsh for Were Only Alive for A Short Amount of Time which recently premiered on the Main Stage of the Goodman Theatre and will begin performances at The Public Theater on June 13.
