FagGod
Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas presents:
FagGod is a new work in progress that is ever evolving, created by Dani Tirrell, Naa Akua and Anastasia Renee. In a non-linear focus, this work explores the beginning of the AIDS epidemic that began in 1981. FagGod is a guided thought that uses dance, storytelling and images from the late 70s and early 80s as a meditation on the lives that we lost to HIV/AIDS.
Were the places of safety also places of death? Who and what was idolized? How did the Reagan administration fail the country during that time? Just some of the questions that the artists are asking examining throughout the developmental process.
