Fiction Writing as an Act of Magick
Do you believe a story can change the world? Do you marvel that ink and tree pulp can conjure images in your mind, and stir up chemicals in your body? Ever wonder exactly how the story of your own life is less fictional than a story in a book? Do you want to feel something?
JUNE 4th TO JULY 23rd TUESDAY EVENINGS FROM 6 TO 7:20
Eight weeks. Eight sessions. Eighty dollars. Get embodied. Fortify your creative life. Produce at least one rigorously revised work of short fiction with a magickal aim.
Class size will be limited to 15 seats.
FICTION WRITING AS AN ACT OF MAGICK is taught by Taylor Leatrice Werner, who holds an MFA in Fiction from the Institute of American Indian Arts, where she graduated with the distinction of Best Fiction of the Year. Her undergraduate concentration was called Catharsis: Writing the Shadows. She has been awarded three Lannan Foundation Grants, the Carolyn Walton Cole Endowment Fund in Creative Writing, and the James T. Whitehead Creative Writing Endowment. As a tutor and teacher, Taylor has been helping others write since 2012.
