Women and the Art of Architecture
AAUW Event for Women in Architecture.
Enjoy an evening celebrating women in architecture. Women have made great progress in this historically male-dominated profession, today constituting nearly half of all students enrolled in accredited architecture programs. Women architects will share with us their challenges, talk about the paths within architecture, and what is needed to reach leadership positions in the field. We will hear about finding meaning and giving back to their community through their work.
This event is perfect for those with a passion for architecture, an interest in women in the professions, and for high school or college students considering a future in architecture.
The evening will begin with refreshments as well as a chance to speak with ten women architects from Orange County and to view a slide show presentation of their work. A panel discussion and Q&A will follow.
