Renaissance City Choir Pride Concert 2019: A Celebration of our Community of Singers
As the month of June arrives every year, the eyes of land turn to the LGBTQIA+ community as we celebrate pride month. Pride events are held in cities across the globe that call attention to our presence as a community, but also simply celebrate the wonderful, magical beauty of being LGBTQIA+. For this years Pride Concert we will bring together music that our community has called on in the past and calls on today to celebrate the fabulous uniqueness who we are as a queer community and as diverse group of individuals. In addition to stories from our choir members about love, community, supporting one another, and coming out, some of the songs we will sing for you will be Born This Way, We Are Family, You Will Be Found, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Let Me Be a Seal Upon Your Heart, Sure on This Shining Night, and You Cant Stop the Beat.
Concert will be outside in the East Liberty Presbyterian Courtyard or in the ELPC Social Hall if it rains.
