Fresh Off The Vine

In support of the forthcoming documentary film Farmer Veteran, prolific restaurateur Giorgios Bakatsias (Bin 54, Parazäde, Kipos) will open his palatial farmstead to host a special late- summer dinner prepared by two of the triangle's hottest chefs, Ashley Christensen (Poole's Dinner, Beasley's Chicken + Honey) and Matt Kelly (Mateo Tapas, Vin Rouge) on Saturday, August 10, 2013. With tomato season in full swing, the family-style service will feature a lush, vibrant and incredibly fresh selection of local produce, cheeses, whole-cooked animals and chilled seafood carefully paired with a selection of wine to make for an unforgettable evening under the stars in North Durham County. As Giorgios is fond of saying, "Simple. No pretentiousness. The enlightened eat the way they live."

A sneak-preview of Farmer Veteran (www.farmerveteran.com) will be screened following an update on the progress of the highly-anticipated documentary from Producer D.L. Anderson of Vittles Films (www.vittles.us) and Co-Director Jeremy M. Lange.
