Veterans of the Bay Area Grateful Dead musician community, performing music from the
Grateful Dead's late 70's era. Guitarist Matt Hartle has explored roots rock, jazz, country, and blues with many talented players (Joe Craven, Melvin Seals, Donna Jean Godchaux, China Cats among others). For his Spirit of 76, he teams up with a stellar cast of veteran Bay Area musicians to bring a fresh, improvisational sound and their stellar vocal harmonies weave throughout the exceptional instrumentation. Spirit of 76 is contagiously fun, satisfaction guaranteed.
